Local culinary supply store Hill’s Kitchen (713 D St SE) is approaching its 10th anniversary. The independent gourmet kitchenware store operated by life-long Hill resident Leah Daniels opened in May 2008 adjacent to the Eastern Market Metro station, and throughout that time has loved supporting neighborhood schools.

This year Hill’s Kitchen wants to do even more, and to give the whole community a chance to join in. So the store has announced its First Annual School Support Week at Hill’s Kitchen taking place from April 7 to April 15. Customers who shop at Hill’s Kitchen between April 7th and April 15th can designate a District school of their choice. Hill’s Kitchen will donate 10% of the purchase price to that school. Anyone can participate, including parents, family, neighbors and members of the community.

At checkout, just tell the Hill’s Kitchen staff the name of the school you’d like to support. The team will keep track of purchases designated for each school, and then donate 10% of the total purchase.

Hill’s Kitchen (713 D Street SE) is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the store at 202-543-1997 or by email at leah@hillskitchen.com
