Last year’s Capitol Hill Village Gala celebrated baseball’s all-star game hosted by the Nationals. Abe Lincoln, one of the racing presidents was on hand to greet CHV Execfutive Director Molly Singer, program emcee Bruce Brennan, and program chair Linda Goodman.

The Capitol Hill Village (CHV) is commemorating the Moon Landing. CHV will “Fly You to the Moon” while keeping your feet firmly grounded at its 11th annual Gala. Blastoff is set for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at St. Mark’s Church, 301 A St. SE.

In addition to an evening of good food and drink served by Well Dunn Catering and dancing to tunes spun by DJ Rhome Anderson, party-goers can take part in silent and live auctions and bid on salon dinners.

The Capitol Hill Village has introduced a new feature for the live and silent auctions at its annual Gala.  “Buy It Now” offers the opportunity for early bidding on tickets to Fleetwood Mac and the Caps; vacation homes in Vermont, Fire Island and Dewey Beach; and a Nationals/Salt Line package.

The Live auction will feature a selection of special outings and experiences including a behind-the-scenes tour of Winterthur, America’s premier decorative arts museum, with an overnight stay in Wilmington; an overnight trip to Chicago complete with hotel and tickets to a Cubs-Nationals game at Wrigley Field;  and Fleetwood Mac concert tickets.

The silent auction will provide the opportunity to bid on vacation homes at Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Cape May, Vermont, Philadelphia, rural Virginia, upstate New York, Thousand Island Park, NY; Fire Island; and the coast of Main

The Gala supports Capitol Hill Village’s social services program and community engagement. CHV is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to sustaining and enriching the community of Capitol Hill residents for the long term.
