Watch Party Goes Full Fun Fest with Events Starting at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

The Washington Nationals took Game 2 of the World Series Wednesday night 12-3 in Houston, scoring six runs in the 7th inning alone to bring a 2-0 lead home to Nationals Park Friday night. You can catch the games with a crowd of friends on the Capitol Riverfront!

The Capitol Riverfront BID, The Yards, Mayor Muriel Bowser, and Events DC kick off Watch Party Weekend on Friday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m.

There will be a celebratory pep rally featuring the Eastern Senior High School marching band, live music on the boardwalk stage, lawn games, face painting, food and drink for purchase, and giveaways before the viewing of Game three on a giant 18’ LED screen at 8:00 pm. The event is Free, and takes place at Yards Park (355 Water St. SE)

The watch party fun continues for Games 4 & 5 on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 2 p.m.. There will be live music, ballpark fare and drink for purchase, outdoor games and activities, and airing of Games four and five, both of which also begin at 8 p.m. Join the party on The Yards Lot, (corner of M Street SE & New Jersey Avenue SE).

For instance, join the “Juan Soto Birthday Celebration” at Walters (10 N St. SE) where each guest will receive a complimentary shark hat to wear during the game!

Fans who head to Capitol Riverfront for World Series activities are  encouraged to take Metro (Navy Yard-Ballpark Station on Green Line or Capitol South Station on Blue/Orange/Silver Line), DC Circulator, Capital Bikeshare, and Ride Share services.
